Mom is my first
If the realm of fatherhood practitoner this is without a doubt the God's given truth. MOTHERS are a key influence on the fatherhood role. Fathers tend to be more involved in parenting when their partners are supportive and encouraging (Hoffman, 2011). It is a good idea to talk to mothers about this influence and how they can facilitate their partner’s involvement in ways that will be beneficial not only for the father, but for the mother herself. Fathers need to understand that mothers need lots of postpartum support. Fathers need to understand the important role they can play in ensuring she gets the support she needs. Both mothers and fathers also need to understand the importance of co-parenting. Need I say more yes,  fathers really remember how their mothers treated them and their siblings. They also remember the struggle in raising them and they adapt (usually) to the dominate parent. This can be a starting point to help unlock issues or skills needed in fatherhood. Thanks to all the moms and dads that make this thing called parenting work as single parents or together. God bless. Â
